HOOVER IN 1:59
Hoover, one of the top pacers In the Auckland district In recent years, won a $7OOO race In 1:59 at Hollywood Park at the end of October. The son of Court Martial has been racing consistently and seems to appreciate the roomy mile tracks In California. Flying Dream, by Lumber Dream from Flying Jill, won on the same course in 1:59 4-5 the following week. He, too, won a $7OOO event. Flying Dream was sold for $2400 at the 1909 yearling sales by Mrs C M. Denton, of Yaldhurst, the purchaser being the Sydney trainer, E. Sims, acting as agent for Mr J. B Sweeney, who subsequently passed him on to American Interests.
