POSTED EAR TESTED
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) ROME, Nov. 14. The results of forensic tests are expected today on what is claimed to be the right ear of the grandson of the oil millionaire recluse, Mr Paul Getty. His mother is waiting by a telephone for a promised call from a man claiming to be one of the kidnappers. Yesterday she received a call from a man who said that he would call again today, and pass on five questions to which only Paul Getty 111 would know the answers.
Police scientists have been examining the ear to determine whether it was cut from a living • person or from a corpse, and whether the blood group is correct. Mr Getty senior has repeatedly refused to pay a ransom, arguing that to' do so would immediately expose his 14 other grandchildren to the risk of being kidnapped.
