Designer’s message
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK, Nov. 11. Long, lean, and pale is the spring message from the designer Giorgio di Sant Angelo. His hemlines are below the knee and below midcalf—for day and evening. Some long, A-line day skirts looked ungainly, but his gathered, apron dresses took the length better. Dressy clothes were cool, flashy sparklers. Evening styles were some of the most figure-revealing, body-hugging designs so far. They looked like Hollywood, in shiny white lycra, studded with rhinestones. Or they were plain white jersey.
