OPENING OF HOSTEL
The Bishop Julius Anglican Hall of Residence for women at the University of Canterbury’s site at Ham will be officially opened at a ceremony on December 2. The Prime Minister (Mr Kirk) will open the 110-bed building, and the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt Rev. W. A. Pyatt) will pronounce the blessing. Those who played a large part in organising the appeal to raise $lOO,OOO for the hostel two years ago will attend.
