Kissinger sees Mao
(N.Z .P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PEKING, November 13, The United States Secretary of State (Dr Henry Kissinger) begins the last full day of his visit to Peking today after a meeting with Chairman Mao Tse-tung. Political observers regard that meeting as auguring well for Chinese-American detente: Chairman Mao rarely meets any visiting foreigner below Prime Minister. The invitation to meet the Chinese leader — it was the second time Dr Kissingei had seen him this year, and their third meeting in all — came at short notice yesterday afternoon, when President Nixon’s adviser was conferring with the Prime Minister (Chou En-lai).
