Girl shot
A Rangiora schoolgirl was injured w’hen a .22 rifle being inspected by an older brother was accidentally discharged in their home on Sunday evening. The injured girl is Sylvia Sophia Patterson, aged 13, of 38 West Belt, Rangiora, who was shot in the right thigh. After being treated by a Rangiora doctor, she was taken to the Christchurch Hospital, where her condition last evening was given as comfortable.
