FAMOUS TRAIN
A famous train makes its bow in “Farewell to the Brighton Belle.” To mark the occasion, the; Brighton Festival organised j a banquet at the Royal Pavilion, a fireworks display and a performance of Berlioz’s; “Song of the Railway” on the platforms at Brighton Station. The massed bands of the Scots, Welsh and Coldstream Guards with the Crawley Concordia Choir provide the music, The Brighton Belle’s last run provides the nostal-i gia. “Farewell To The Brighton Belle,” a Granada production, screens in colour on the N.Z.B.C. television . network on Sunday.
