Record for squash A record 175 entries—l 22 men and 53 women—have been received for the Comimonwealth Games squash rackets tournament which starts next Monday evening. Organised by the Christchurch club for the Canterbury association, the tournament will run throughout the week, with all finals to be played on Friday night at the Christchurch club courts. D. R. Preston, winner of the Christchurch closed title earlier this year, is number one for the men's A grade. Seedings in the main events are: Women’s A: Mrs Graham 1. Miss P. Lush 2, Miss J. Willetts 3. Mrs F. Rodgers 4. Women's B Mrs D. Stead 1, Miss S. Moore 2, Miss D. Pere 3. Miss R Henderson 4. Men’s A: Preston 1, V. J. W Hargreaves 2, M. Billington 3. N. D. Rush 4. Men s B: J. MacDougall 1, K. Ottley 2, M. Barnes 3. N, |W. Herd 4.
