War pension benefits
(N.Z. .Press Association) WELLINGTON. The Minister of Defence (Mr Faulkner) has announced ■increases in “fringe” benefits Tor war pensioners. They include clothing allowances (for seriously disabled pensioners, general grants, and financial assistance for motor vehicles. He also announced rail travel concessions to enable holders of concession passes |to use the Silver Fern and [Silver Star services, and certain extensions to closing dates for housing concessions under the rehabilitation scheme for former servicemen.
