Adventure for children
A new adventure story for children, “The Witch’s Daughter” starts from CHTV3 next Friday. When Mr and Mrs Hoggart arrive on a Scottish Island with their two children Tim and Janey (who is blind), Perdita, a twelve-year-old orphan, is watching them. Perdita is accused of being a witch by the local children and lives with Annie McLaren, an old lady who keeps house for the mysterious Mr Smith. Perdita befriends the Hoggart children, and together the three of them get caught up in an adult world of crime and intrigue. The exciting story with its unusual character interest unfolds over five episodes. Filming for the serial was done on the Hebridean Island of Mull and the tale was written by the well-kown author of children’s books, Nina Bawden.
