Students seek aid
The Lincoln College Stu- ] dents’ Association is seeking assistance to defray the cost of sending two students to a conference on tropical agriculture in Brisbane in May. The meeting, the Australasian Association of Agricultural Faculties Conference for representatives from university agricultural science faculties in Australia and New Zealand is held each year. The conference is to encourage the interchange of knowledge, ideas and views related to agriculture, and to advise university authorities and national student bodies of requirements in course! structure. The association’s chief! delegate at Lincoln College! (Mr B. Harrison) said teaching and research relative to|| tropical agriculture were be- | ing considered at Lincoln College. The students’ association! has made a gift towards | sending the delegates to the i ; conference, but because of! heavy commitments to a new! student union building, the i amount was not enough, Mr Harrison said.
