(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE. The All Black captain, 1. A. Kirkpatrick, said at the week-end that he did not know how the British journalist. John Reason, had gained any information to suggest he had disagreed with the decision to send home K. Murdoch.
“I had no contact with Reason for the four months of the tour,” he said, "so I just cannot imagine where he would get hold of such a story.”
Kirkpatrick added: ‘‘l have no comment to make other than to say that any decision to send Murdoch home was a managerial one. It would be quite untrue for Reason to base his story on any information which he might claim came from me.”
