Military awards
Awards were presented to two soldiers during a parade held at the tent camp of the 2nd Battalion. Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment, at Burnham Military Camp, on Saturday.
The awards were presented by Brigadier R. W. K. Ainge. commander of the 3rd Infantry Brigade Group. The Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was presented to Warrant Officer First-Class K. J. Kennedy, of Christchurch. Warrant Officer Kennedy, a Regular Force soldier, has been regimental sergeantmajor of the battalion for the last two years. He received the award for completing 18 years service. Sergeant M. R. J. Wilson, of Hokitika, was presented with the Efficiency Medal for 12 years service as a Territorial soldier.
