More than 50 delegates from regional associations of the New Zealand Society of Master Plumbers will attend the society’s annual conference which begins in Christchurch today. The conference will be opened by the Minister of Housing (Mr Fraser). Its theme will be "the domestic
Several remits will go before the five-day conference, including proposals for new and revised training methods for plumbers’ apprentices, a proposal for training adults in the industry’, and one that the industry to initiate its own superannuation scheme. Reports will also be presented by committees working in conjunction with the Department of Health, the Standards Association, and the Plumbers and Gasfltters Board
