Waterfront baby
A Lyttelton waterside worker. Mr W. Stirling, has been tending this seagull chick since it was hatched on the wharves eight weeks ago. The chick was born beside a railway line, close to the roll-on roll-off wharf, and Mr Stirling supplements its diet with pieces of bread. The chick’s mother is living in the background.
