(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, Dec. 9. The Timaru Lions Club expects to raise money for Volunteer Service Abroad between 9 a.m. and the opening of Timaru’s new port access bridge at 2 p.tn. Certificates, at 20c each, will be issued to pedestrians and motorists for the privilege of crossing the bridge. Each certificate will contain a motif of the structure, facsimiles of the signatures of the Mayor .(Mr C. R. Hervey) and president of the Lions Club, a Lions emblem, and the city’s coat of arms.
