C. Baxter staged a fine fight-back to beat C. Smith in a recent pairs championship match at Elmwood. Smith, who is partnered by K. Herbison, led 14-1 at one stage but Baxter, whose lead is R. Wear, drew level on the fifteenth end and then went on to win 21-19.
