The final series of talks under Article 10 of the New Zealand-U.K. trade agreement were held in London yesterday between the Director-" General of Agriculture (Dr Alan Johns) and the Permanent Secretary of the British Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries (Sir Basil Eng* holm). The talks, which have been held annually under the agreement for the last 15 years, will terminate when Britain joins the E.E.C. It is believed that technical matters relating to Brit* ish entry and production trends in the two countries were discussed. Dr Johns arrived in Lon* don after attending a meeting of the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation in Rome, and will call on the organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris, on his wav home this week.
