Remanded
Two Paringa residents who appeared before Mr F. G. Paterson. S.M., in the Magistrate's Court at Whataroa yesterday morning on three charges of assault were remanded in custody for the taking of depositions at Whatamx on January 25.
They are Bruce Keith Wright, aged 19. and Harrv A'exandnr Hines, aged 21. who were jointly charged with assaulting with intent to iniure Charles Ensor. Hugh Ensor, and Les Szafranski all of Paringa.
Hines was also remanded on an additional charge of presenting a firearm. Detective-Sergeant D. Porteous, of Greymouth, opposed an application for bail
