Kotare Legend Stakes fancy

Kotare Legend’s dashing victory at the Motukarara trials on Tuesday points to him carrying on his winning way tomorrow at Waimate. He has drawn No. 3 at the barrier in the New Zealand Golden Slipper Stakes, the feature event at the meeting.

The son of Fallacy and Silver Halo could hardly have been more impressive when at his only other start he

outclassed his rivals in the New Zealand Spring Time Stakes on November 18 at Addington. Hobart Lord, Yankee Clipper, Fantastic, Bay Star, Johnny Kirk, Curragh’s Dream, Heather Royal, and Frosty Chat have ail paced fine races in some of their recent starts and all will have supporters in a fairly open race. Two seconds in her latest racing point to High Lark being a top chance in the second leg. The Methven owned and trained four-year-old is overdue for a win, which should come in this race.

Highland Spinster, Robin’s Sister. Misleading. Den Hest, Last Morano, Wai Matai, and Helkeiwa are others capable of taking a prominent part in the finish.
