Paraplegic is top sportsman
(N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA. The New Zealand woman paraplegic athlete, Mrs E. Rimmer (Edgecumbe), has been chosen the Bay of Plenty “sportsman of the year.” In the Paraplegic Olympic Games in Europe earlier this year, Mrs Rimmer won two gold and two silver medals, and set two world records. The other finalists were tiie marathon runer, J. Foster, M. Nicholson (golf), J. Downey (wrestling), and G. Palmer (cross-country).
