Junior whip resigns
(N.Z. Press Association) . WELLINGTON, Dec. 7. Mr V. S. Young the National M.P, for Egmont, has resigned as his party’s junior whip. Mr C. C. A. McLachlan (Ashburton) will take his place. The Prime Minister (Mr Marshall) made the announcement after the National caucus met today. He said that Mr Young asked to step (down to enable him to undertake other duties for the Young was appointed junior whip for the last session of the thirty-sixth Parliament.
Mr H. R. Lapwood (Rotorua) will continue as chief whip.
