Trip north uncertain
Efforts are still being made to arrange for air transport for Heatherloch and Hurricane Cherie, candidates for the Thames meeting on Saturday. Late yesterday G. B. Noble said he was not hopeful that transport could be arranged. Hurricane Cherie has an alternative engagement In the New Zealand Golden Slipper Stakes at Waimate on Saturday and will start there if the trip north does not eventuate. Noble intends campaigning a team at the Auckland Cup meeting later in the month. Donover will not be In the team. He was injured when another runner cannoned into him at Addington last Saturday and will be off the scene for some months.
