Ruby Royale impressive
"The Press” Special Service „ OTAKI. The sprint candidate, Ruby Royale, worked stylishly at Otakl yesterday morning in preparation for her home meeting on Saturday. Work was done on the trial grass and on the plough. Both provided fast footing. Ruby Royale, which has not raced since the Oaks at Riccarton, was too good for Gold Kin over five furlongs in Imin 2 4-ssec, the last three in 38 3-ssec. Ruby Royale was two lengths clear at the finish. The high-weight hope, Royallte, showed dashing form when running away from Cresta Dore and Flying Command after five furlongs in Imin 7sec, the final three in 41sec. Royallte is ready to win this week.
The last-start maiden winner, Delamont, covered five furlongs in Imin 3sec, the final half-mile tn 49Jsec, and the last three furlongs in 37sec. She is in great order to extend her record in the hack mile on Saturday.
