Ambulances busier
Members bf the St John Ambulance Brigade carried 2479 patients over a distance of 16,402 miles last month—an increase of 240 patients and 2422 miles compared with figures for November last year. Compared with figures for October this year, the number of patients increased by 17 but the distance covered decreased by 649 miles. A total of 136 motor accidents were attended last month. From these, 212 Satients were carried by St ohn ambulance to hospital. These figures show an increase of five motor accidents and 28 patients on figures for October this year and 33 accidents and 71 patients on figures for November last year. Miscellaneous accidents attended by the ambulances in November numbered 99, a decrease of 13 compared with the October figure and a decrease of one compared with the figure for November last year.
