FISCHER STILL FISCHER

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LOS ANGELES. The world chess champion, R. J. Fischer, said yesterday that he hoped to defend his title in the United States against B. Spassky, although, in his opinion, the former champion “doesn’t have much of a chance,” Associated Press reported. Fischer, who took the title from Spassky last summer in Reykjavik, said he would like to play in an American resort city, such as Las Vegas. “I would like to play Spassky if the money is good enough. I think Spassky is still the best opponent,” he added.
