PROFIT UP AGAIN

Manawatu net 10p.c. higher

(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, December 6. The net profit of Manawatu Knitting Mills, Ltd, was $66,422 for the year to October 19, an increase of 10.2 per cent compared with last year. The directors have recommended that a final dividend of 7 per cent be paid, which with an interim dividend of 5 per cent paid in July, makes a steady 12 per cent dividend for the year. The profit rise was the ninth consecutive increase. The chairman (Mr D. G. Glendinning) says that it is inevitable that increases in the price of wool will have to be passed on in higher prices for woollen garments.
