Wool again strong

The wool market was strong again when the third Timaru sale of the season was held yesterday. All classes of wool tended to be dearer than at the Christchurch sale on Friday. The largest gains were recorded by Merinos, which were 5 per cent dearer; extra fine halfbreds and Corriedales, which were 2} to 5 per cent better; and the coarser crossbreds, which were up to 2j per cent dearer. All other fleece wools were in sellers* favour. The offering included a selection of Mackenzie Country Merinos, and these sold well at up to 224 c per kilogram. (DETAILS, PAGE 14)
