$l00,000 for hotel
Mr R. W. Wightman, a farmer who lives in Rangiora, has bought the Junction Hotel for about $lOO,OOO. The freehold hotel, in High Street, Rangiora, is a twostorey, double brick building on half an acre of land. It has accommodation for eight to 10 lodgers. Mr Wightman said last evening that he was selling his farm in the Wairarapa, but would retain his 1400acre farm at Oxford and his house and 25 acres of land in West Belt, Rangiora. He will take possession of the Junction Hotel on March 1 next from the present proprietor, Mr N. Ouinn. Mr Wightman said he would be the hotel licensee but would appoint a manager and wife to run it.
He had plans for enlarging the hotel, he said.
