I. M. Behrns suspended

I M, Behrns, the driver of Hundred Pipers in the New Zealand Cup at Addington Raceway yesterday, had his horseman’s licence suspended until and including November 18 for causing interference to Berkleigh with a mile and a half to run. Behrns was found guilty of the offence after evidence was heard from the patrol steward, from W. R. Butt, the driver of Berkleigh and R. P. Nyhan, who drove Rauka Lad, which tvas also checked because of the incident and broke. G. McCormick, the driver of Vince in the First Riccarton Stakes, was fined $2O for undue use of the whip.
