Pro-am to Rafferty
(N.Z. Press Associations AUCKLAND. The New Zealand professional golfer, B. C. Rafferty, who tore tendons in his wrist and hand during the New Zealand Open last year, showed that he was far from finished when he won the $5OO Whitford Park pro-am tournament. Rafferty was the only one of a very large field to better par, his 70 being one under the card. Rafferty had his hand and wrist in plaster for five months.
