NO EXTRA GAME

(N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) PARIS. The New Zealand Rugby league team is not seeking an extra game in France. The manager (Mr T. Wellsmore) said that injuries had already reduced the number of fully fit forwards to six, while the centre, J. C. O’Sullivan, is out for at least two weeks with a hairline fracture of his ankle. “We have three games in Britain in the space of five days and we would do best to get our players fit for these,” Mr Wellsrnore said. The Kiwis are having a week in central France between last Saturday’s game at Pau and the final which they will watch at Lyons this Saturday. Mr Wellsrnore may arrange a side-trip to Switzerland, which is not far from Lyons, during the week.
