New Zealand would provide a $50,000 consignment of milk biscuits for emergency relief in Vietnam, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Sir Keith Holyoake) today. Because of the success of a shipment of milk biscuits earlier this year, he said, the South Vietnamese Government had requested more help with the refugee problem after the recent Communist offensive. “Since the present offensive began, the number of refugees totals more than one million. 600,000 of whom are in Government refugee camps,” Sir Keith Holyoake said.
