C.I.B. seeks owners
The Christchurch C. 1.8. is seeking the owners of property which they believe is the proceeds from burglaries committed recently. The goods, being held by the house-breaks squad, include a Masport motor mower with a four-stroke engine and 18in blade; a Brother portable typewriter and case, de luxe model, coloured light grey; a Zupdapp sewing machine, green, in a cream oval case; an orange wheelbarrow with pneumatic tyre; and a six-transistor Majestic radio and clock, coloured black. The property was seized from a suburban second-hand dealer last month. The mower, typewriter and sewing machine had been sold to the dealer for a total of $35. None of the articles have been reported to the C. 1.8. as missing.
