THOMSON ON HIS WAY BACK
The double-international, K. Thomson, is available for representative cricket again. Thomson retired temporarily last year, partly because of the demands being made on his time by attempting to win a place in the Olympic Games hockey team. “I did not really retire. It was more like suspending my cricketing activities,” Thomson said yesterday. He first played for Canterbury in 1959-60. and was a regular member of the team until 1970. Thomson played for New Zealand against India in 1968.
