ROAD-WORKS AT WAIPARA
The Ministry of Works has let a contract to British Pavements, Ltd, for the realignment of State Highway 1 at Waipara. The contract, worth about $150,000, involves eliminating more than two miles of curves, to complete what is known as the Waipara deviation and will lead the highway on to the new Waipara bridge. The work will be completed about the end of May, 1973.
