UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO ADVISORY PROGRAMMER, COMPUTING CENTRE The computing centre, which will install a Burroughs 86700 computer early in 1973, is responsible for maintaining an effective service for the university and for providing degree credit and non-credit courses in computing. Expansion has made the position of advisory programmer available from the beginning of 1973. Duties include: advising computer users on design and debugging of programmes, assisting in programming courses, maintenance of system software and programming, including work on university administrative applications. The work could could provide an opportunity to pursue particular interests. Preference will be given to applicants with a university degree and a background in statistics or some other major application area.
