The University of Adelaide INVITES APPLICATIONS for the following appointments, the closing date for applications being shown in brackets after each post: LECTURER (Plant Taxonomy) IN BOTANY To teach primarily in the field of seed plant taxonomy and probably in general first-year botany courses. An interest in palaeobotany, biogeography or associated fields is desirable (12.12.72). LECTURERS (2) IN CIVIL ENGINEERING Practical experience in some branch of civil engineering (e.g. structural design, surveying, hydraulics) is desirable. (30.11.72.) TEMPORARY LECTURER IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FOR 1973 ONLY Preference to candidates with (or about to qualify for) higher degrees or with post-graduate professional experience. UNIVERSITY OF WAIKATO POSTGRADUATE AWARDS APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS are invited from qualified persons who expect to be eligible to study for a D.Phil. degree at the University of Waikato. A Nuffield Postgraduate Scholarship for Research on Cross-Cultural Ability is available and will be awarded for research into individual and group methods of assessing cognitive ability of groups of various ethnic origin resident in New Zealand, in its island territories and in other territories of the central South Pacific.
