Women’s field day
One hundred and twenty-six players, a record, competed in a B grade women’s field day held by the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association at Wilding Park. The players came from 18 clubs. Results were:—Mesdames M. Laugeson and V. Cording (Wycola Park) 41 points; Mesdames A. Laugeson and J. Campbell (Wycola Park) 39; Mesdames M. Patterson and K. McDonald (Burwood Park) 38; Mesdames B. Knife and C. Pyne (Shirley) 37.
