75 YEARS IN EDUCATION
Representatives of more than 140 school committees throughout Canterbury will gather this evening to celebrate the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Canterbury School Committees Association.
The association, which has! been one of the most active in New Zealand, had as one' of its recent achievements a] campaign to improve wages of school caretakers. This evening’s celebrations, I the first social gathering in] the new Canterbury Educa-! tion Board building, in Cran-i mer Square, will be held in. conjunction with the meeting; in Christchurch this week-end! of the executive of the New! Zealand School Committee’s Federation. —
