Manager
The manager for the j Hawarden Tavern will be Mr G. J. (Garry) Redding-1 ton, previously head barman i for Eichardt’s Tavern, I Queenstown, Mr Reddington was selected by the Hawarden Licensing Trust from 15 applicants. Before working at I Eichardt’s, Mr Reddington i was a traveller for a tobacco ■ company and previously he worked for the Social! Security Department. Educated at Otago and i Christchurch boys’ high! schools, Mr Reddington has I played cricket and basket-1 ball as his main sporting activities. Mr Reddington has played senior cricket for Carisbrook, Dunedin, and later for Bumside in the senior grade of the Christchurch Suburban competitions. Mr Reddington’s new position will cause him to miss cricket this summer for the first time since leaving school. Helping Mr Reddington with his duties at times will be his wife, Eannesse (“Nessa”). Mr and Mrs Reddington have a baby son.
