Official ceremony
To mark the opening of the new tavern at Hawarden an official ceremony will be held at 3.30 p.m. today. After extending a welcome, the chairman of the Hawarden Licensing Trust (Mr S. J. S. Barker) will introduce the chairman of the Waipara County Council (Mr C. N. Mackenzie) and the immediate past president of the New Zealand Licensing Trust Association (Mr R. R. Illingworth). During the ceremony a small plaque i showing the names of the ! first trust members and of ; the builder will be un- ; veiled. ! The other members of ! the trust are Mrs H. M. [ Little and Messrs H. C. ; Quigley, A. F. Ramsay, D. ; W. Warwick, and W. C. ' Wright. The contractor for the building was Mr R. M. Honeybone.
