Nissan sales
Nissan now has 30 per cent of the Japanese home car-market with its Datsun vehicles, it is reported from Japan. In the first six months of this year the company made 1,077,000 vehicles; 21 pet cent more than last year. The average increase for the Japanese industry as a whole was 7 per cent. The results are said to be partly a result of the 1966 merger with Prince Motors, Ltd —the company says the effects of the rationalisation of production and marketing are now being fully realised.
