PALMERSTON NORTH,
The nomination of Mr Mickey Mouse, of the Mad Hatters Tea Party, as a candidate for the Palmerston North seat at the General Election, has been accepted. The returning officer (Mr K. R. Seebeck) decided that Mr Mouse’s nomination was in order under the Electoral Amendment Act.
His nomination was by a public servant and three students. Mr Mouse gave his occupation as unemployed. Returning officers may refuse certain nominations, under the terms of the act.
