With the unconcerned air of the most experienced traveller, Peg's Pride (above) reaches for a mouthful of South Island grass after her arrival in Christchurch from Hamilton yesterday. Peg’s Pride, brilliant winner of the Desert Gold Stakes at Trentham last month, has been brought south for the New Zealand Oaks next week. One of her travelling companions was the sprinter, Pinotage (below), one of the fancies for the Steward’s Handicap, second leg of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s T.A.B. double on Saturday.
