Gold Brick is lame
(N.Z. Press Association) MELBOURNE. The A.J.C. Derby winner. Gold Brick, is in doubt for the $60,000 Victoria Derby at Flemington on Saturday. Gold Brick is lame in a fore joint and his Sydney trainer, T. Kennedy, made the trip to Melbourne yesterday to inspect the colt. Gold Brick was examined by a Melbourne veterinary surgeon and his report has Kennedy most concerned. Kennedy has requested a Sydney veterinary surgeon to examine Gold Brick with him today.
