CHIMING WINS
<N.Z. Frets Association) MELBOURNE. The South Australian galloper. Chiming, which carries the colour’s made famous bv Comic Court, winner of the 1950 Melbourne Cup, gained his first win in two years when he won the tVerrtbee Cup from Glen Lang and the New Zealand horse, Lord Nelson, yesterday. Chiming, a five-year-old horse by Oncidlum from Bell Time, was out of action for more than a year with leg trouble before making a come-back to racing this season. As a three-year-old he showed ■ lot of potential, winning the Adelaide Guineas and Port Adelaide Guineas.
