FIVE BOYS SUSPENDED
: Weedkiller on : school shrubs (M.Z. Pre«« Association) HOKITIKA, Nov. 1. • Five fifth-form pupils of ithe Westland High School have been suspended from classes after a week-end incident in which weedkiller was allegedly sprinkled over shrubs in the school grounds. ; At least 20 roses were 'killed, and other shrubs damaged. The garden plot was badly contaminated, and a swastika was marked on the lawn -vith the weedkiller. The Hokitika police are inquiring into the incident.
