Oldest golfer successful
The oldest competitor in a field of 50 doctors won the annual Foster Cup at the Shirley golf course yesterday. Mr J. K. Davidson, a retired surgeon, played on a handicap of 18. It is the fifth time he has won the cup, which was presented by the late Mr P. S. Foster in 1927 and is competed for annually by members of the Canterbury division of the Medical Association of New Zealand. Mr Davidson first won the cup in 1930 with a handicap of eight.
