PARAPLEGIC DISPLAY

In what is sure to be one of the major attractions at the Methven Floral Festival on Saturday, seven members of the Christchurch Paraplegic Sports Group have accepted an invitation to give a display of their sports activities. The group, which will include three New Zealand representatives at the 1972 Paraplegic Games, is:— GRAHAM CONDON, New Zealand representative in discus and swimming, silver medallion in discus. CHRIS NICHOLLS, New Zealand representative in swimming and penta thalon.

MRS NEROLI FAIRHALL, New Zealand representative in discus and wheel chair dash. TERRY SMITH, weightlifting. LEON COLLINS, archery. BERNADETTE PAWHAI, archery. FRED CREBA, of Waimate, weight-lifting and discus. Each of these athletes will give displays of their ability in their chosen sport, but because of the distance of the swimming baths from the showgrounds there will be no swimming display.
